long time no blog
So since the last time I wrote.... I now know who my sweet one is and am shortly leaving to meet her.
March 26th I found out who she was I was at work. I was on my way to walk the kids to the bus and saw that Dove called. My heart leaped out of my chest and I knew it was the call, that I had been waiting for each day, to tell me who my daughter was. I had to do my job, It felt like I was floating down to the buses escorting the kids. As soon as I got back to the classroom I called Kari. She said "So what are you doing November 6th?" I thought, what a strange question, I'm not sure, why? She said "how about throwing a 1st birthday party!" Immediate tears and excitement. I asked if Krista had heard the news and Krista said "I'm right here!" Krista was practically sitting in Kari's lap listening on the phone. Kari sent my the picture of Tizita and immediately I'm in love. Sharing with my friends and family was so special everyone was as excited as I was to know that Izzie Tizita was going to be part of our family. I even invited myself on my Aunt Tammy and Uncle Gregs date to tell them!
I have been waiting 4 months for the call to go to court. While waiting Ethiopia changed their laws around adoption requiring the parents to appear in court. I just missed the cut off so I will travel to Ethiopia to appear in court and then return approximately 6-8 weeks later to bring Izzie Tizita home.
The first trip I will be flying with Tami and Nancy from Dove. It is nice to know that they will be there. I get to fly through Dubai and stay the night which should be a fun experience. I am leaving July 31. I meet Tizita August 2nd I am excited and nervous I can hardly wait to hold her and smell her and learn more about her. I return home August 7th.
This month I had two onion flowers grow in my yard in front of Izzies window. I think it symbolizes the two of us.
